Dan Mihalko is a self-taught artist who grew up in a small coal mining town in western Pennsylvania. Pencil drawing and watercolor were his early mediums of choice.  His career as a Postal Inspector gave him many historical topics and his art career took off in 1987 with his  historical painting, "Who Are Those Guys?" Since then, he has won numerous awards. Well, not numerous. He won one award. And it was a long time ago. But his work has appeared in postal and law enforcement magazines and collections. Much of his new work is in acrylic.

He is a prolific painter, turning out commissioned work regularly. Check out his galleries for originals and prints and the commission page to see a sampling of his commissioned work.
